Hi, I’m Kai D’Amour (yes, my actual last name means “of love” in French. Coincidence? I think not).
I’m a lover of warm, natural lighting and candid moments. I’ve been photographing weddings since 2016 (under my previous alias “Hikari Productions”).
Some fun facts about me:
~ born and bred in Brisbane, Australia
~ an avid traveller, rock climber and language learner
~ a cinephile and a huge FOODIE
I have a Bachelors in Film and a Diploma from the New York Film Academy. These skills of framing, colour grading and directing flourish in my wedding photography and videography, ingraining a classic and cinematic feel.

I’m based in Brisbane, Australia, but I have done shoots in all around Australia, Asia and North America. I have a bit of a travel bug. Buy me a plane ticket and I’m wherever you need me!
Less than 24h after your wedding shoot!
I love doing sneak peek edits for my couples and send off around a dozen key images from the day for you to send to loved ones, post on socials etc.
The rest of the media takes around 4-6 weeks to edit, as it’s not just a batch preset. Care is put into editing each image.
I’ve simplified my packages into:
Half Day (5h)
Full Day (We can go all day (<12h), as long as you feed me)
Multi-Day (As many days as you’d like)

I typically shoot solo, but sometimes it’s fabulous to have that second angle during key moments.
I highly recommend upgrading to two shooters during the getting ready photos. One photographer at the groom’s and one at the bride’s. The power in being in two places at once! 2nd shooters are also fab during the ceremony, to capture the best of both first looks.

The Nikon F (1959) with a 35mm lens! It shoots 35mm film. This camera was actually my 公公’s (Grandpa’s) camera that he passed down to me ~
